Committing to a monthly arrangement before anyone has looked at your business is a lot to ask. So start smaller. One piece of paid work, a fortnight, and a clear answer at the end of it.
You keep the written summary whatever you decide next.
£499
one off, plus VAT
Credited in full against your first month if you go on to work with us, so it costs a continuing client nothing.
Book the Finance ReviewMost reviews start with ratios. We start further back, with whether the numbers those ratios are built on are right. In practice that is where the money usually is.
Transactions coded to the wrong account, VAT sitting in the wrong box, income recognised in the wrong period. These are quiet problems. They do not announce themselves, and every report you read afterwards inherits them.
By client, project or product line, depending on how you work. Most owners can name their biggest customer. Fewer can name their most profitable one, and the two are often not the same.
Not a forecast built on wishes. What is committed, what is collectable and when, and where the pinch points fall.
Reliefs missed, extraction structured inefficiently, decisions made after the year end that would have cost less before it. We will tell you what is worth acting on and what is not.
Two weeks from start to finish, and about two hours of your time in total.
Pick a slot for the session and pay at the same time. You will get a short list of what we need access to, usually your accounting software on read-only, your last filed accounts and your most recent VAT return.
About a week, on our side, with no demands on your time beyond one or two clarifying questions. If your records are behind, send them as they are. The state of the books is part of what we are reviewing, so there is nothing to tidy up first.
We take you through what we found, in plain language, and you ask whatever you want. Bring anyone else who should hear it.
A short summary within two working days, with three prioritised actions. Yours to act on, take to your existing accountant, or sit on. No follow-up sales sequence.
Tell us within 14 days of the session and we refund the fee in full, without asking why and without a conversation about it. You keep the written summary either way.
We can offer that because of how rarely it happens, not because the review is a formality. If we cannot tell you something you did not already know about your own business, we have not earned the fee.
Partly, yes. Given a clean set of accounts, a good model will produce respectable analysis. We use AI heavily ourselves, and it runs through most of what we build.
The catch is that a model can only analyse what you hand it, and in most businesses the problem sits in what never reached the records in the first place. A model reads those confidently and tells you something reassuring. What you are paying for is someone qualified checking the numbers are right before drawing conclusions from them, and putting their name to the answer.
No, and the summary is written on that basis. Plenty of people take it to the accountant they already have. If you do go on to a monthly arrangement, the £499 comes off your first month.
Then you are exactly who this is for. Nothing needs cleaning up before you send it. We would rather see the real position than a tidied one.
It is paid work with a deliverable. We will tell you at the end whether we think you need ongoing support, and we will tell you if we think you do not.
